    ✨ What a remarkable edition of @artthehague ATH ✨ What a remarkable edition of @artthehague ATH 2025! ✨ 🔊🔊 We proudly look back on 5 inspiring days at the @fokker_terminal where #gallery @lucianovalis presented #art by #hermanvanveen and #ericawelling at booth 18 — 2 artists who create from emotion, color & intuition. 🟣 HERMAN VAN VEEN @hermanvanveenofficial @hermanvanveenartscenter Known worldwide as a musician, theatre-maker, and performer, it was his #paintings that took center stage during ATH. His artworks are created in silence, yet resonate like #music . Soundscapes without sound: intuitive, rhythmic, physical. No explanations, no stories — just light, movement, and a moment of truth. During the opening, he said about art: “…that you don’t need to understand it, but feel it, that it touches you.” We were truly honored that, despite a packed schedule of exhibitions and performances in Germany, he personally opened the fair. A powerful gesture and a moment of genuine engagement — a memorable opening that set the tone for inspiring days at the fair. 🟣 ERICA WELLING @mrontwerp Erica presented new photographic works at ATH. Her art invites you to feel attentively. Through vibrant color, striking composition, and an almost tangible tension, her #photography touches something that cannot be named, yet deeply resonates. Her open approach sparked many meaningful encounters on the fair floor. To everyone who visited, who let the unspoken in: thank you!     🔊✨ @artthehague is gestart & begint aan een p 🔊✨ @artthehague is gestart & begint aan een prachtige 3e dag! ✨ Tijdens de bijzondere opening op 1 oktober sprak Herman van Veen vanuit het hart over wat kunst voor hem betekent, zie afb. 2 met een videofragment. 👉 SWIPE “Kunst is beschaving. Deze beurs heeft iets vredigs, dit is het antwoord op veel waanzin. Een mens is het mooist als hij iets maakt, in kleur, in hout. En dat je niet hoeft te begrijpen, maar het voelt en dat het raakt. Dat onderscheidt ons van zoveel andere wezens. Ik geloof in de kunst. Ik ben nu 80 en ik reis zo’n 60 jaar door de wereld en daar waar het mooi is, is kunst. … Ik voel mij ongelofelijk meer op mijn gemak in de werkelijkheid van scheppende mensen, die dingen maken die altijd individueel zijn. Een kunstwerk is altijd één ding. Er kunnen veel mensen veel in zien en zich al dan niet mee identificeren, maar een schilderij schiet nooit iemand dood. Purpura, born of red and blue, is in Goethe’s vision the colour of interior flame — a silent glow at the threshold of the visible. It does not scream; it shimmers. It does not show; it conceals. This cross is not weight — it is air. A crack in the sky, a stillness between the veils of time. A sign not of presence, but of passage. Erica Welling invites you to look beyond the visible. Her work speaks a language of color, of resonance, and rhythm. A visual experience where you may not understand, but you will certainly feel.
